One of these days we'll do a series on the Book of Ecclesiastes with the theme of Meaning in life.
Here's the premise:
We all seek and crave meaning in life.
Sometimes we look in the wrong places and ask the wrong questions.
Here's an example about experience or pleasure:
The eye never has enough of seeing,
nor the ear its fill of hearing. (Ecc. 1:8)
I believe that's not the point of seeing or hearing. But if we have the wrong perspective, we ask the wrong questions and then...We get the wrong answers.
Instead, meaning must come from beyond us... it must come from God.
Just a deep thought for today.
